A bit of chat and info about the designer of the Famous Cheesy DoorStop:
Stafford Schmool invented the SwissDoorstop in 2004. It was developed and manufactured by our own company Randomproduct. It quickly became a bestseller and favourite of happy, discerning folk.
SwissDoorstop turned 21 and to celebrate we made a new, improved cheese with OG designer Stafford Schmool (né Andrew Stafford), launched at 4.COSE in Vyner Street, London in September 2025.
We were honoured when Dr Alberto Alessi asked to make our prototype SwissDoorstop part of the incredible Museo Alessi collection alongside Castiglioni, Mari, Sottsass et al.
Stafford Schmool designed the fabulous Toklas Restaurant & Bakery at 180 Strand, London. Over a 40 year career he has worked with amazing people and designed furniture for SCP, FUEL, Sonos, AHMM, The Barbican & Magis; interiors for Kate MacGarry Gallery, Gavin Turk & Deborah Curtis, Prettybird, Bloomberg, Julia Royse POSTED & Brinkworth; exhibitions for SwissDoorstop, British Council, Jenny Lewis, London 2012 Olympics. A new build house, a boat, a library and many more projects for private clients.

Orders going outside of the UK are subject to duty and taxes, you will be contacted directly by the courier 'UPS' to make this payment.
Please note these charges; import vat and duties are completely out of our control and will vary on order by order basis. All Non-UK customers should check with their local customs office for current customs charges in their location.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Any orders returned to Mimi Berry due to failure/refusal to pay local duty, tax & associated clearance costs will be refunded LESS the cost of the return shipping.
All of our products are made to the highest standards and we hope that you will be happy with your purchase. However, if you are unhappy for whatever reason, we can offer either an exchange or refund of the goods provided they are returned to us within 14 days of receipt of your order, complete with dust bag and in original and resalable condition. We offer exchanges for UK customers only.
